The ECSSS Jane Rendall PGR Travel Award contributes to meeting the expenses of postgraduate students travelling from abroad to present papers at the ECSSS annual conference. This prize honours Jane Rendall, an ECSSS Past President and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, in recognition of her consistent support for early career scholars as well as her long support for the Society and eminent contributions to the field. The first recipients of the award were Andrew Colquhoun (Glasgow), Scott Macfie (Glasgow), Alanna MacTavish (Aberdeen), and William Vasiladiotis (Aberdeen), all of whom presented papers at the Philadelphia conference in 2026.
